Coffee beans from the Yirgacheffe region – located at the central-southern part of the Ethiopia – hold a very special character and unique cup profile, justifying their notoriety as some of the world’s finest beans.
Within this region lies the village of Idido. The village is mountainous, overlooking the city of Yirgachefe. Every evening, mist and clouds concentrate in this area, providing excellent conditions for specialty coffee cultivation. This coffee comes from a single washing station called Alemayehu Tafesse. The cherries are collected from various microholding farmers around the station that take their coffee to central market centers. Coffee cherries are purchased after 7pm, when all farmers have delivered their coffee to these centers.
“Known for its sweet flavour and aroma with a light to medium body. Ethiopian Yirgacheffes are spicy and fragrant, and are frequently reviewed and rated as some of the highest quality Arabica coffees in the world. Their premium reputation also often means they carry a premium price, but even so, they offer better value for your money than other comparables.” – Espresso Coffee Guide.
Infused with CBD and a full spectrum of cannabinoids.
Coffee beans naturally produce their own oil, making them an ideal target to infuse with full spectrum, CO2-extracted hemp oil.
We use full spectrum extract to ensure we include as much of the plant as possible. This is also referred to widely as ‘whole plant medicine’ and helps to ensure that a wider-variety of cannabinoids and terpenoids are available for absorption by the body.
Less than 0.2% THC.
How to brew.
Our preferred method for brewing all of our CBD coffees is a cafetiere / french press.
- Add 10-15g of coffee per cup to your cafetiere.
- Then, measure and add just enough near boiling water, stir and wait 3-4 minutes. This is our preferred method for CBD infused coffee because of the longer extraction time.
- Finally push the strainer / plunger down gently, and pour yourself a cup of coffee full of CBD-rich full spectrum, plant extract.
